Have you ever encountered these problems with laptop battery?

Nowadays, the batteries of notebook computers are not detachable. If the daily maintenance is not good, many problems will follow. It is too troublesome to replace the batteries yourself, and it is too expensive to go to the after-sales service… So many brothers ask me how to protect the batteries so that they can stay in a healthy state for a long time? Today, I will talk with you about those common “battery problems”!微信图片_20221224095106

1. Can I always plug in the power supply after fully charged?
sure. Today’s laptops are basically lithium batteries, which have lost the memory effect of nickel chromium batteries. (Memory effect means that the battery capacity is easy to be reduced if it is not fully charged and discharged for a long time), so we can always keep the battery connected to the power supply.
2. Which is better, unplugged or plugged in?
The latter is better. Although both will cause loss to the battery, the loss will be less than the former if the power supply is always plugged in for use. Moreover, the current laptops are equipped with BMS (battery management system), which will automatically protect the battery in case of overcharge or overdischarge. It is impossible to charge and explode the battery.
3. Does the battery of the new computer need to be activated for the first time?
unwanted. Lithium battery has no memory. It can be used directly.

4. Do you want to use up all the power and recharge it?
Better not. It can be charged at any time, no matter how much remaining power is. Otherwise, when the notebook battery is completely out of power, a sudden shutdown may cause the loss of files or damage to the battery.
5. Other precautions
(1) Keep half of the power when storing for a long time. If the battery is stored in a state of insufficient power, it may fall into a deep discharge state, and it may fail to start the machine when it is used again; If it is stored at full charge, the capacity of the battery will be reduced when it is used again.
(2) Pay attention to the ambient temperature. Lithium battery is very sensitive to temperature. When it is used in an environment lower than 0 ℃ or higher than 35 ℃, it will accelerate power consumption, shorten battery life and cause irreversible damage.
